Iron Entries Limited Warranty  ·  Effective on products purchased on or after December 1, 2021.

Each Iron Entries door is individually crafted and finished, so minor variations are normal and part of the handcrafted character of iron. Iron Entries warrants its iron doors to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship that would render the door unserviceable under normal conditions, provided it is installed according to the supplied instructions, for the following periods:

  • 2‑Year Limited Warranty against structural and mechanical defects on all door frames, doors, inserts, glass panels, and transoms.
  • 2‑Year Limited Warranty against seal failure on insulated glass — replacement of glass (material and labor) in years 0–1; replacement of glass (material only, FOB factory) in year 2.
  • 1‑Year Limited Warranty on the factory-applied finish, except in coastal environments. There is no finish warranty within 5 miles of a coastline or other salt-water environment. All finishes may age relative to time and exposure; normal aging is not considered a defect.

The following are not covered and will void the warranty:

  • Damage caused by installing an iron door without adequate overhang protection. The unit must be protected by an outward overhang at least one-half the height of the overhang (e.g., a 10‑ft‑high overhang must project at least 5 ft).
  • Damage caused by failure to follow the installation instructions, or by failure to promptly and adequately repair damage to the unit, including chips or scratches to the finish.
  • Damage, misuse, or abuse caused by other parties, or causes beyond our control, including Acts of Nature.
  • Minor imperfections in glass, including scratches between the panes of insulated units, are normal and not covered. In general, a visual imperfection must be visible from 10 feet to be considered a defect; some exceptions apply.
  • Broken glass; improper storage, installation, maintenance, or cleaning; condensation on interior surfaces resulting from cold-climate installation; and moisture penetration from normal wear and tear, including pets. Operating glass panels provide nearly twice the weather-strip contact area of fixed doors; under high wind and rain, some air or water infiltration may occur and is not considered a failure.

All warranty claims must be approved by an authorized Iron Entries representative. Iron Entries has final say on all claims and may elect to repair, replace, or refund the product.
